Working Encounters were a joint activity of all partners of the CtC -> CtI project, led by the partner organisation United Artist Labour. As the year of the first Working Encounters was a special year, we decided to prepare the edition of Working Encounters 2020 online.
There were 15 international artists taking part in this creative process, creating their new artistic works, inspired by the theme On Villains, Aliens and Superheroes. On Other Stories – you can find the contept of the theme and the Working Encounters explained HERE.
The invited artists presented their works online from October 1st – 3rd 2020.
Inspirational public online talks with renown artists dealing with the theme of heroes and heroines through different artistic approaches were presented online: Rabih Mroué (15th September, 2020 at 7.00 pm), Barbi Marković (17th September, 2020 at 7.00 p.m.) and Želimir Žilnik (19th September, 2020 at 6.00 pm).
For online artist talks and final artistic presentations a special Working Encounters website was created.
The second WORKING ENCOUNTERS II were organised by the Kunstraum Innsbruck in Innsbruck, Austria, from 22 to 26 June, 2021. The participating artists were Tamara Antonijević, Rodrigo Batista, Cristina Gagiu, Nicola Gunn, James Jordan Johnson, Jovana Kocić, Lea Kukovičič, Marija Marjanović, Rita Natálio, Ariadna Rubio Lleo, Zuzana Sceránková, Tanja Šljivar, Vanda Velagić, Mohamed Yusuf Boss, the researcher Dan Podjed, the journalists and the project partners.
