Rariţa Zbranca is a cultural manager based in Cluj, Romania. Her work involves cultural production, curating, research and policy development. Her main area of interest is the role of culture for social transformation and urban development. She is director and cofounder of AltArt Foundation, Programme Director of Cluj Cultural Centre and cofounder of Fabrica de Pensule, an independent collective space for contemporary arts. She is a member of the Strategy Group of the “A Soul for Europe” initiative and a board member of the Balkan Express network. She has been involved in strategic planning and programming for the participation of the city of Cluj in the competition for the title of European Capital of Culture 2021. She has worked in the fields of arts and culture, media, and democracy for various organisations. She studied Photo-Video-Digital Image at the University of Arts and Design Cluj and Journalism at Babes-Bolyai University Cluj.
