Dan Podjed, PhD, is a Research Fellow at Research Centre of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts, an Assistant Professor for Anthropology at University of Ljubljana’s Faculty of Arts, and a Researcher at Institute for Innovation and Development of University of Ljubljana. Since 2012, he has been coordinating the Applied Anthropology Network of the European Association of Social Anthropologists (EASA). He is the main organiser of the international symposium Why the World Needs Anthropologists (Amsterdam 2013, Padua 2014, Ljubljana 2015, Tartu 2016, Durham 2017, Lisbon 2018). In 2016 he was awarded a COFUND Senior Fellowship for his research stay at the Durham University, UK. His works are widely cited inside and outside his primary research area.
