Beauty can’t exist without ugliness

On the 10th, and because of the big succes, also on the 11th of March, our silent heroes are in the spotlight with binding, hartwarming and unique stories.

‘Woman Connected, the community arts network for woman, shapes a highlight in the years of corporation between the Rotterdam Wijktheater and Theater Rotterdam’ – Walther van den Heuvel, lead programmer of Theater Rotterdam.

With this play The Silent Heroes Disco the woman enter the stage, with personal, brave and binding stories. The woman know how to touh te public everytime. Sing, laugh, cry and dance along with the woman.

I left my homecountry, Syria, because of the war. In search of safety for my children. I find it interesting to participate in the project. In this way I can practise my Dutch and get in touch with other woman. It’s always a good vibe and it softens the pain of our leave out of Syria. As a child I played in two theatre performances, but standing here now on the stage of Theater Rotterdam, makes me very excited. I hope my children will come and have a look, but also that Dutch people will come and see what the new inhabitants will bring and move the city. – Fahae
