Sam Carvahlo & ON/OFF: Kopf Kino

Bergen, Norway
May 28, 2020

Kopf Kino is a mobile installation projecting specators faces on outdoor wall surfaces, built by Dan Dorocic (ON/OFF), Philipp von Hase and Robert Jakobsen (Aldea) for BIT Teatergarasjen and Carte Blanche.

In the spring of 2012, the interdisciplinary design studio ON / OFF organized a series of experimental excursions in its hometown of Berlin. The idea was to activate the potential of the urban environment, the empty facades, the busy streets, the personalities that make up what we understand as our community and our city.

The project is part of the celebration of the 950 year anniversary for the City of Bergen, and questions how we can help to build up thinking about democracy as a community of active participants; characterized by collaboration, diversity and long-term thinking. Sharing ideas and perspectives is at the heart of the concept of the public assembly, and central to our existence.
