FORSALE – artistic intervention in public space

FORSALE is a performance auction house established by the Slovene theatre artist Lea Kukovičič in August 2021 as the first auction house in the world auctioning theatre performances. The historical first auction was held in Slovenia at the contemporary performing arts festival Mladi Levi auctioning the performance Ich kann nicht anders by Slovene collective Beton Ltd.

As a part of special communication intervention the visual artist Toni Soprano Meneglejte and Lea Kukovičič have conceptualized five posters with provocative slogans touching the themees of the price of art, ownership, capitalism. The posters were exhibited in public space in August 2021 prior to the first auction of the FORSALE Auction House to open a public debate and engage the audiences.
