The Theatre Institute is the only institution in the Czech Republic that, with love and professionalism, studies and records, preserves and provides access to information on theatre past and present to all interested parties. It is the memory of Czech theatre, preserving stage works long after their final performances.
ATI operates as an open centre of information in the field of theatre, providing a wide range of services (a library and video library, web portals and databases, bibliographic and documentation services), organises and participates in international projects, engages in research, documentation work, collecting activities and organising exhibitions, and also publishes scholarly and specialised literature on the theatre.
